Spec clutch kits include a new pressure plate, clutch disc, release bearing, alignment tool and even a new pilot bearing.
Stage 1: High clamp pressure plate, steel-backed woven organic disk, bearing(s), and installation alignment tool. Excellent high performance replacement clutch for naturally aspirated (non-supercharged) engines.
Stage 2: Performance pressure plate, segmented chatter free Kevlar disc with H.D. sprung hub, plus bearings & install tool. Higher grip clutch recommended for power adder cars (supercharged, nitrous oxide, etc.) and stroker engines using regular street tires.
Stage 3: High-clamp pressure plate, 3-piece disc* with carbon or ceramic material, bearing(s) and install tool. ULTIMATE HIGH HORSEPOWER STREET/STRIP CLUTCH. Sharp but smooth engagement with moderate pedal effort. Recommended for higher boost supercharged or nitrous cars, blower+stroker combinations, racing with slicks or high torque cars with drag radials.
*The Stage 3 three-piece disc has a heavy duty sprung hub, as traditionally used on street clutches. Stage 4 & 5 clutches with a solid hub and no Marcel spring between the two sides of the disc are available by special order. Note: solid hubs are not recommended for street transmissions due to the severe shock-load that can be transmitted to the driveline. Call for more information.
